Angry Boys = Funny Viewing

If you haven’t caught on to the contagiously entertaining comedy programme ‘Angry Boys’ currently showing on BBC Three every Tuesday, there must be a gaping humourless hole in your life that I suggest be filled immediately by tuning into this brilliant show.

Created by Australian comedian Chris Lilley, this half hour show follows the appearance of a documentary switching from various people’s family/social situations not only in Australia but expanding to America and also Japan. One would be convinced that each person’s story is so different from African-American young rapper S. Mouse who gained and then lost popularity after one hit single to 38-year-old former Australian surfing champion Blake Oakfield, and this is true, however these are not people but in fact characters created and portrayed so realistically by Chris Lilley. Chris Lilley certainly has a talent for making ‘mockumentaries’ having already made two hit series previously (‘We Can Be Heroes’ and ‘Summer Heights High’) and ‘Angry Boys’ may possibly be his best work so far.

Chris has been able to create a winning combination of characters that are extremely funny in their mannerisms not just because they are overly-exaggerated personalities, but simultaneously because they reveal realistic qualities in people we’ve met along the way in life. From the unbearably controlling Japanese mother Jen Okazaki to the sibling rivalry of teenage twins Daniel and Nathan and my personal favourite character titled simply as Gran, who provides a maternal hand for youth offenders, these are a collection of characters created by Chris to remind the audience of the way we all can be.

As much as this is a hilarious show, credit should also be given to Chris for creating layered backstories to these imagined people causing the audience to become curious as to what will happen next for these characters rather than simply laugh at their situations.

Styling Out - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Burberry, 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' London Premiere

The new leading actress of the upcoming third Transformers movie looked so elegant in this simple plunge silk dress by Burberry with a sparkling black back strap. The English model's beauty matches that of former Transformers siren Megan Fox and her looks are certainly complimented in this ensemble.

At least her voice ain't broken...

Jessie J broke her leg while rehearsing for a collection of festival dates this summer which is a shame as she has been forced to sit on a throne while she performs as we have seen her do at the SummerBall gig and Glastonbury.

I'm sure Jessie was distraught at not being able to move around on stage. The situation is ironic as her unfortunate predicament was caused due to practising for shows she can no longer perform at properly.

However the singer has not let this ruin her moments to shine proving with that booming voice of hers that in fact, she deserves a royal seat as she reigns over the new UK talent at the moment!

Beyonce - Making History Yet Again

By now, you should have heard about Beyonce performing at Glastonbury 2011 on Sunday night. The superstar said herself that the world was watching the televised festival that night and there's no wonder why.

Glastonbury always puts on a good show making sure the headliners have the ability to do such a job and this year Beyonce, along with Coldplay and U2 definitely smashed it. Coldplay played an astonishingly atmospheric set on Saturday night playing anthem after classic Coldplay anthem.

However, in Fl@unt's opinion the best act was truly saved till last. Beyonce became the first female act in 20 years to headline Glastonbury and she showed everybody why she's the new generation of a legendary music star, outdoing herself with a funky and fresh music set that lasted over 1 and a half hours.

The crowd chanted along with Beyonce as she sang her past hits as well as performing new songs off her new album '4'. Catch a couple of Fl@unt's favourite new tracks she performed below:

Get Ready for Queen B

Beyonce is headlining Glastonbury this weekend so be prepared for her to put on a big show - the only she knows she can. This will be the first time she has performed for such a mass crowd since she ended her world tour a year and a half a ago, so the UK is desperate to feel her presence on stage.

Beyonce gives the best live performances and there are also rumours spreading that she will reunite with Kelly and Michelle onstage for a Destiny's Child reunion! That would be sweet, we will just have to wait and see what happens...

Whether present on earth or not, Michael Jackson will always remain the King of Pop.

Poster Boy - Michael Fassbender

If you haven't seen summer blockbuster X Men: First Class yet, firstly you must be the only one left yet to see this fantastic film and secondly, you have yet to marvel at the acting talents of German-Irish native Michael Fassbender who portrays the character Magneto.

Fassbender strikes the perfect balance between the unbreakable, revenge-seeking force of Magneto and the emotional ties this character has with his past memories of his family, murdered in a concentration camp. This is not the first film linked to Nazis Fassbender has been involved with as he played Nazi hunter Lt. Archie Hicox alongside Brad Pitt in Inglorious Basterds in 2009.

Fassbender's strong screen presence has gained him a chain of new roles in films due to be released next year co-starring with Keira Knightley, Idris elba and Charlize Theron amongst just a few names. You can catch him next (looking rather dashing) as Mr Rochester in the upcoming film Jane Eyre released this September, check the trailer:
