Grammys 2011: Fashion Successes/Failures

Here's the Fl@unt verdict on who turned out fashionably correct and who failed miserably to impress at this years Grammy awards...

FASHION SUCCESSES

Jennifer Lopez - Although some might say she a few years over the age limit to be wearing a hemline this short - she's JLo she can practically fl@unt any outfit excelling it into diva status! As the new face of Venus, her showcase of pins are appropriate and her over-indulgence of sassy sparkle is perfect for such a night as the Grammys.

Eva Longoria - She may not be a music star but she certainly styled out most of the musical competition on the red carpet. Again, flirting with the short hemline, Eva does this in a more classy way with monochrome ruffles - still keeping it sexy.

Jennifer Hudson - Looked absolutely gorgeous in this midnight-blue corseted gown with a lifted hemline to show off those strappy Louboutins. After losing a shed of weight, you can't help but notice how different Jennifer looks. Her slick hair and glowing make-up are also applied to perfection.

Jada Pinkett-Smith - She dabbles in heavy rock occasionally, however her daughter's music career has already surpassed hers at the tender age of ten. Jada's look should be appreciated for the hairstyling alone. It's not often the black female celebrity showcases her natural hair in all its glory in front of the camera - and Fl@unt loves it. Jada can sometimes look harsh in the face but her natural beauty also shines through here.

Lenny Kravitz - At the age of 46, this man still has it and shows no signs of losing it. His effortless swagger makes anything he wears look steel cool.

HAIR & MAKE-UP

Beyonce - Beyonce may not have performed but she showed up refreshingly fresh-faced and positively glowing from her front row seat. Fl@unt is a big fan of her lightened blonde hair which only emphasizes B's natural beauty.

Rihanna - Fl@unt is not necessarily a fan of the sheer dress she adorned that night but her make up was flawless, complimenting the deeper red tones to her hair, which Fl@unt prefers massively. This hairstyle is also a keeper - unusually understated for the Bajan singer.

FASHION FAILURES

Ciara - According to rumours, Ciara is suffering hard times with her record label and it appears she's suffering even worse with this get-up. Too much reveal, not enough style. We like the shoes though.

Nicki Minaj - Oh Nicki, we know you usually have a crazy style but this is just a plain and simple HOT MESS. You are actually a relevant figure in the music industry, we just don't get it. Maybe she took her frustration in not being asked to perform on her outfit...

Miley Cyrus - We've seen this mesh of colours on the singer before and we never liked it then. Too much clashing glitter and print and the dress has absolutely no shape or structure.

Keri Hilson - Keri never manages to hit the mark at the Grammys. Yes she has a pretty face, nice figure and her hair is actually styled correctly, but the design of the dress is too basic and dated. Keri used to come harder in the fashion stakes - what happened?
