Timeless Beauty

British acting legend Joan Collins recently insulted half of Hollywood females by claiming that most of the popular actresses today, are no rivals against the flawless women she grew up around as a young movie star.

"There aren’t that many good looking actresses around today. I mean, there’s Angelina Jolie and there’s… Angelina Jolie," Collins says. "That is why Cheryl Cole is so popular, because she is just so pretty and the public are starved of gorgeous people.”


I don't agree with Collins' harsh statement. Yes, the sense of the glowingly untouchable, old-school glamour of beautiful actresses may have dimmed, as we now have more access into their lives off screen through candid shots and celebrity gossip in magazines and through the internet. Yes, the image of female celebrity is more manipulated, exchanging brazen sexiness for welcoming beauty - however, natural beauty still exists beneath the media hype and glossy photos.
